Pupil Premium

Our school aims to provide a safe, rich learning environment where all children can develop an enthusiastic approach to their learning. All children will have equal opportunity to reach their full potential both academically and socially. The aim is for each child to have a very positive self-concept and to be able to move with confidence to the next stage of their learning.

The Pupil Premium Grant  is additional funding to help schools close the attainment gap between children from low-income and other disadvantaged families and their peers.

The principles of utilising Pupil Premium at Iver Heath Infant school and Nursery are:

  • quality first teaching
  • identifying and reducing or eliminating barriers to learning
  • an exciting and inspiring curriculum
  • forest school
  • enrichment days
  • trips
  • nurture groups
  • breakfast club
  • after school clubs
  • additional one to one support
  • intervention groups as required

All our work through Pupil Premium will be aimed at accelerating progress with an emphasis on personal, social and emotional, communication and language, English and mathematics.
