Rights Respecting Schools Parents Information Page

Hello and welcome to the “Iver Heath Infant School and Nursery’s”- Rights Respecting Schools Introduction page.

We are proud to announce we received our “Silver” Accreditation Award on Thursday 12th March 2020 for promoting the “United Nations Convention of Rights of the Child”. We are very proud and excited that our achievement and commitment to promoting the Rights has been recognised.

We are passionate as a school, about promoting the rights of every child, and we are embedding/discussing them at our school at every opportunity. As you look at the Articles (often referred to by us as “Rights”), you will notice that we cover the main ones that are relevant and appropriate for our age range from Nursery to Year 2. Wherever possible we link rights, but we always remember that all rights are as important as each other.

Please do ask myself, Mrs Baker, your child’s class teacher and especially your child about their rights. I look forward to updating you regularly about our achievements and how we will continue to further develop “Rights” as part of our school curriculum.

Please do listen to this song that the children love to listen to in our assemblies about our rights. Do see if you can spot the rights with your child. The song is called: ‘We’ve all got rights’.
