Our tricky words are - not, an

Reading books

Our reading scheme begins with the very important step of wordless books, which we use to develop the children's vocabulary, observation skills and ability to form sentences.

The children will move onto books with words when we feel they have sufficient phonic knowledge as our books are phonic based. They should still continue to develop their story telling skills.

Maths bags

10 maths bags will be sent out every Friday (to be returned by the following Wednesday). This means that your child will receive a maths bag every 3 weeks.

PE is on Tuesday mornings. Please ensure your child has their full PE kit in school for the whole week as there may be additional PE sessions.

The children will be taking it in turn to bring Rory home each day. Please can we ask that you do ensure you return him everyday as the children look forward to finding out who is next. If you get him on a Friday - lucky you - as you do not have to bring him back till Monday.

We visit the school library on a Friday afternoon. The children can choose one book each week to be returned the following Friday.
